Tips on Keeping a Healthy Mind and Body Over the Holidays
As we all know, this time of year can be critical for our mental and physical well being. With all of the holiday parties, cookie trays at the office, food gifts, eating out while shopping, etc.; it is very difficult to keep ourselves balanced. As a Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer I try to instill in my clients that you must not restrict yourself from indulging but you must also not over do it with your food choices. It is okay to enjoy the festivities of the season, just know your limitations.
Below are a few tips as to how to survive the holiday season without feeling guilty come January 1.
*Make sure to eat breakfast over the holidays to curb your appetite for holiday meals.
*Don't go to a holiday party hungry.
*Do not try and starve yourself to compensate for over-eating. This could affect your metabolism.
*Remember to drink enough water over the holidays to help your system digest the heavier foods.
