Holiday Spirit
As the song goes, “Tis the season to be jolly…” We all know that this is supposed to be one of the merriest times of the year. The question is, are you merry? Do you have the holiday spirit? Or are you too wound up trying to get that perfect gift for your child? Are you stressed out trying to figure out how to fit the holiday shopping into your busy schedule? What about the expense of it all? And what about fighting the traffic and the crowds near the malls? Where is this holiday spirit?
If you are having difficulty finding the holiday spirit, I have a suggestion for you. Give! That's right, Give. You will be surprised (or maybe you won't) how good it feels to give to someone. You could donate a toy to Toys for Tots. You could donate a coat to Good Will. You could donate some food to a needy family. And if money is an issue, you could donate some of your valuable time to a good cause. I promise you that it will make you feel great!
As I mentioned in my last post, 2008 is the Year to Feel Great! Let's finish 2007 off with a bang and get started on the right foot for 2008.
I would like to wish everyone a very happy holiday season! I will be away until after Christmas, so I give my best to you now and hope you have a safe and joyous holiday!
Peace be with you!

hey steve,
thanks for the advice on how to manage the stress...we really do need to focus on what we have, rather than what we do have, and offer some of what we have to others.
i was just listening to an audiobook that said that we have something that costs little to give yet is very generous, is simple to give yet is profound in its effects...it is a smile. if we can be as generous to offer someone a smile during this time of stress, it may make someone's day and reward us by having it returned!
have a good holiday!
