Investment 101

A couple of quick questions before I get to the heart of the matter.
1. Do you invest in a retirement plan of some kind? (IRA, 401K, Stock Market, etc.) If not, you should.
2. If so, why do you invest money for your retirement?

Think about the answer to these questions before you go on. Why do you invest in the future?
Let me throw out some possible reasons for you.
1. You want to enjoy your retirement.
2. You want to have peace of mind for your retirement.
3. You want to be able to do what you want when you retire.

Next question: What percentage of your weekly income do you invest in the future? Is it 5%? How about 10%? Is it more?

Next question: Why that amount? Is it because you want to make sure you have enough money to live on?

So what does this have to do with WELLNESS?

A few more questions:
1. Do you exercise regularly?
2. Do you realize that exercising today is investing in your future?
3. Do you want to be able to enjoy your retirement physically?
4. Do you want to have peace of mind about your physical abilities for your retirement?
5. Do you want to be able to do what you want physically when you retire?

Exercising 3 hours a week is an investment in your health! If you find it to be important enough to invest in your fiscal health for the future, then make sure you also invest in your physical health for the future. It doesn't make sense to have lots of money for your retirement and not be able to physically enjoy it. Think about it.

I've never thought about exercise this way! This is so true! Thanks for this great blog! I will have to remember this when my motivation to exercise is waning!
