I am not on medication. I tried 1200 IU vitamin D and 1400 mg Calicum, and it dropped my fasting glucose about 10%. I tried 2400 IU and got no improvement. I dropped back to 800 IU and my glucose levels increased. This is worth testing, but may not be same for everyone. It's universally accepted, though, that the acid in coffee is a killer. A few coffee solutions have been turning up lately with the acid either removed or neutralized. I drink a coffee with Ganoderma extract added. The alkaline Ganoderma (a mushroom) neutralizes the acid, and the slightly bitter mushroom taste actually enhances the flavor!

Comment on Vitamin D and Insulin

According to today's recommendations, 700IU of D is a small amount... 1000-2000IU is safely recommended and the best absorbed is D3. which is the natural Vitamin D... Not the D2 usually found in multiple vitamins.

Comment on Motivational / Inspirational / Heart Wrenching...

STEVE, WHEN I READ THE FIRST PAGE I THOUGHT IT TO BE A FARCE. I appreciate your blog and all of your good suggestions! I hope others who read this actually try some of your suggestions. I've found them very helpful in my own life. Especially letting others know how much I appreciate them! The reactions I get from others when I share this are so positive, it makes me feel great! And it's so nice focusing on the positive things about others instead of complaining about the negative! It even helps me to recognize (and appreciate) some of my own positive qualities. It's a win-win strategy!!! Thanks, Steve, for doing what you do!
